I bought this book amongst a few others as I am newly interested in Buddhism and it's principles it breaks each part of Buddhism down brilliantly so you really grasp its true essence My favourite introduction to Buddhism so far Learned a lot through this book and deffinately inspired me to find out

It's free and for the most part it does what it says on the cover it explains Buddhism Butthe spelling grammar is appalling and personally I think it could have been thought through better and perhaps laid out in a logical orderCan't say that I would recommend it

I have just finished reading this book and really enjoyed it The author has explained the basics and inspired me to change my life and to find out I am eager to read and my next purchase will be a recommended book looking into meditation To live the Buddhist way will not mean too many changes for me but there are changes I need to make that I'm sure will make me a happier and better person

I really liked this book as it breaks down the necessary stages to get started it can also be used as a reference I will recommend this book to anyone considering to start their journey in buddhism the author is very good at re evaluating and breaking each principle step by step I will be following of the authors books whilst in the early stages

A very good and concise introduction It touches on a broad range of areas and explains them in brief It doesn't go into a lot of detail but given it's only an introduction I didn't expect it to As it is I got a good feel for what it is and what areas I would like to know about he also recommends further reading on various related uestionsI like the style of writing where the author makes it into a conversation with the readers

Before reading this I had no idea what buddhism was but this book allowed me to understand properly what buddhism is and how to practise it The anecdotes used were interesting to listen to and relevant to the western culture I would definitely recommend to anyone who is new to Buddhism or wants to practise it but doesn't know how

I purchased this book as it was on my Mindfulness Diploma reading list It is an accessible read that introduces all of the key aspects of Buddhist thinking applying them to modern day life Although I am a fundamentally positive and mindful person I can honestly say that this book has had a profoundly positive effect on my life and for that I cannot thank Ian Tuhovsky enough I would recommend this to anyone seeking a new approach to the world around them and their interaction with it

A very useful and explanatory view for beginners interested in Buddhism I have read other books by Ian Tuhovsky and enjoyed this one just as much He writes in a way that is easy to understand and the content of the book was very interesting Highly recommend this book and others by the same after including beginners guide to Zen My next choice in this subject will be beginners guide to meditation
